Fun Facts

If you were stranded on a desert island and could only get delivery from one restaurant in the city, which restaurant would it be and why?

While it remains to be seen if a person can live on pastries alone, I'm willing to try! Jane the Bakery on Geary can serve all of my needs, including coffee, sugar, and even meat (in the form of sandwiches).

Do you have any Human or Fur kids?

I have three terrible/adorable pets: Agnes (the tuxedo cat), Beatrix (the tortie cat; Bea for short), and Tamago (the shiba inu)

Where are you coming from?

I've been in in content marketing roles for a while now, first at Samsung SmartThings, then at Autodesk (on the AutoCAD product). For the first decade of my career, I wrote about entertainment (mostly television and movies, some music and books).

Fun Facts?

I, uh, sang in an a cappella group in college. It was a thing! I also went to boarding school (they filmed Scent of a Woman there -- though that was before my time). My best friend arm wrestled Alex Trebek on Jeopardy!

Favorite TV Show / Movie?

Seinfeld/Cool Runnings (I could lie, but I won't. I love Cool Runnings. It's the best movie ever made. I also like documentaries and smart movies too, but Cool Runnings is the best.)

I'm constantly exploring the Bay Area food scene (especially in the East Bay), but I love seeing live music. I spend way too much money on concert tickets. Oh, and I also compete in a competitive online trivia league that's very nerdy.

What was the first concert you ever attended?

My parents took me to a lot of jazz concerts when I was younger, but the first concert I chose to attend was probably Ben Folds Five when I was in high school.

If you were being introduced at a conference, what would your walk out music be?

Work Skills

What's the best way to work with you?

Be direct! I'm a Philly girl raised by a professional editor. I can take advice/criticism pretty well.

Aside from your main role at Guru, what other skills/side-hustles/resources do you bring to the table?

I have a VAST knowledge of pop culture.
