Assets & File Types

Recommended for Design/Art Direction

  • Layered PSDs Preferred
    • Prefer Smart Objects over rasterized layers within the PSD
    • If fonts are not available for sharing, converting text to shape layers is highly encouraged!
  • Illustrator .AI files for Vector Assets
  • Sketch, XD, Figma docs accepted
  • InDesign layouts with linked assets are discouraged

Recommended for Animation Direction

  • After Effects files for complex motion graphics or visual effects, which is ideal for In-Video/CTV formats.
    • For adhesion/display: We cannot guarantee 100% adherence to these assets due to differences/limitations between HTML5 and Video Animation.
  • If complex character animations are desired, then relevant .MOV Video files with alpha channel will be required. We also accept PNG sequences but please note that the original After Effects file is preferred.
  • If a client requests to use a video clip as part of the animation, the video itself cannot be longer than 5 seconds with no audio included. There's no particular size required but the aspect ratio should at least be 16:9 (or anything but vertical video in portrait mode). The recommended file format is mp4 and we highly encourage compressing the video before handing it off to GumGum.
    • IMPORTANT: Not all ad formats are suitable for video-based assets or effects. For instance, we highly recommend simple animations for the In-Screen Frame and avoid any use of video assets within the frame itself.
