Media & Metadata

The media & metadata section compiles all your content in one place. Your content consists of a media and a metadata file.

Media

There are four different types of media:

  • Channels: linear live streams
  • Broadcasts: the individual programs of a channel that are being aired at a certain time
  • VODs: media assets that can be played at any time
  • Live event: live stream of events that are only available during a specific period

Contact your account manager or send an email to support@magine.com if you want to know more about Live events.

A metadata file contains all information about a media file. Some of the data will be visible in the service and are searchable. Other metadata information is used for features, automated collections and viewing rights. When editing the metadata please be careful and remove the format before you paste it into the fields.
