Transactional model (TVOD)

In a transactional-based service, customers buy access to an asset or a bundle of assets for a predefined period (rental) or as long as the asset is available in the service (EST).

When a rental period ends the access to the asset is automatically removed.

Magine Pro supports transactional offers for single assets e.g. a movie or an asset bundle like a whole season of a show. It is possible to offer the same asset as rental and EST at the same time.

Transactional offers can be combined with subscriptions, advertisements, and discount codes. It's also possible to create hybrid services and combine subscriptions with rental offers or day passes e.g. for an online film festival.

Purchase flow

The customer can rent or buy an asset from the details page of an asset. If several offers are available the button will show the lowest price.

After clicking on the button the customer can make the offer selection. If you only have one offer the flow will skip this step and go straight to the offer summary presentation.

You can make the decision easier for the customer by listing the unique selling points and adding an image to your offers.

After selecting an offer the customer then proceeds to a summary with the detailed offer and pricing description that also includes the possibility to use a promotion code.

After reviewing the offer details and pricing the customer can enter the payment details on the same page.

When the payment gateway confirms the successful transaction the customer gets redirected to your website and can start watching immediately.

The entered payment details are saved in your payment provider's system and can be reused the next time the customer rents a movie.
