Setting up your indoor plant sanctuary!

Now it's time to set up your plant sanctuary. The first step is to assess the brightness of various rooms in your home to determine which plants will thrive in each space. Once you have that figured out, you're ready to head to your local nursery! Choosing from a wide variety of indoor plants can be overwhelming for beginners — let this card be your guide!

Rubber plant

  • Generally a very easygoing plant

  • Thrives in medium to bright indirect light, and can tolerate bright direct light.
    Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings.

Pothos

  • Pothos is arguably the easiest of all to grow.

  • Thrives in shade to part shade outdoors, bright indirect light indoors.
    Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings.

Philodendron

  • This plant is a quick growing, trailing plant.

  • Thrives in medium indirect light, but can tolerate low indirect light.
    Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings.

Palor Palm

  • The Parlor Palm is a wonderfully graceful indoor plant that is easy to maintain and grow.

  • Thrives in medium to bright indirect light and can tolerate low indirect light. Not suited for intense, direct sun.
    Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings.

Monstera

  • Precaution: Irritating to cats, dogs, and humans only if foliage consumed. Fruit is edible to humans. Best practice is always to keep houseplants out of reach of small children and pets.

  • Thrives in bright to medium indirect light. Not suited for intense, direct sun but can be acclimated to withstand it.
    Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings.

Fiddle Leaf Fig

  • This plant can grow over 40ft in its native environment!

  • Thrives in bright indirect light to full sun. A few hours of full sun is preferred. Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings.

Snake Plant

  • This plant is known for its air purifying capabilities.

  • Thrives in medium to bright indirect light, but can tolerate low indirect light.
    Water every 3-4 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings.
